The OBAAMA-CZ project (OBstetric Anaesthesia and Analgesia Month Attibutes in the CZech Republic) was a clinical registry focused on the practice of anaesthesiology in obstetrics. This project contributed to the mapping of and subsequent improvements in anaesthesiological and algesiological care provided to women in peripartal period.

Primary objectives of the project:

  • Monitoring the data on current practice of perinatal anaesthesia/analgaesia in the Czech Republic
  • Monthly monitoring of the number of women in the Czech Republic which have been provided anaesthesia/analgaesia
  • Assessment of clinical practice in involved centres
  • Monitoring parametres regarding anaesthesiological care provided to women in peripartal period, as well as basic perinatal parametres.

Secondary objectives of the project:

  • Comparison with clinical practice abroad, based on available data from the US and the UK.
